I appreciated that she took steps to understand my goals for the shoot, provide resources to help me get the most out of the experience, and prioritize what I hoped would be captured (spoiler: she wonderfully captured the feelings that I hoped would translate through the pictures). She is obviously thoughtful about the process she guides her clients through, and provides guidance, support, and care all along the way to make you feel great – and of course, look great!
A few things that were a huge bonus for me: Hair and makeup were done the morning of by a professional (the HMU artist was fantastic, too!), I could bring my own outfits or borrow from her gorgeous extensive collection, and she offered options for a payment plan. She was upfront and clear about the pricing, and I felt like I received a great deal!!
This was my first boudoir photography session and I started with a boatload of anxieties, but Nerissa did a great job dispelling those, and she guided me into poses that looked good in my body. She didn’t just tell me what to do, but she laughed with me, breathed with me, showed me how to pose, and helped me relax and move in ways that photographed well when my body didn’t know what to do naturally. My photos were better than I could have imagined, and it was magical to have this opportunity to see myself in these beautiful ways. I would absolutely recommend her and I already can’t wait for the next time I get to work with Nerissa!”
